I believe great design is built on integrity, intention, and an obsessive attention to detail — anything less doesn’t feel honest.

About Me

Hi, I’m Ken Reaume — a JUNO-nominated graphic designer and illustrator based
in Canada.

I specialize in book covers, album artwork, and branding with a focus on bold illustration, strong concepts, and a love for detail.

Me, age 8

I started drawing, playing guitar, and skateboarding when I was a kid — and I never really stopped.

For nearly 20 years, I was fully immersed in music, releasing records and performing across Canada and the U.S., opening for artists like Iron & Wine, City and Colour, Chelsea Wolfe, Daniel Lanois, and Phil Elverum.

These experiences shaped how I think about storytelling, emotion, and craft — and though I’ve since stepped away from music, that influence still lives in my design work today.

Design Style

My design sensibility blends clean vector illustration with a DIY spirit, drawing inspiration from skateboarding, snowboard graphics, Catholic iconography, and music culture. I focus on strong lines, bold composition, and visual systems that translate across packaging, print, and brand identity — work that feels both refined and raw.

Clients & Recognition

I’ve worked with clients like Pauline Books & Media, Dine Alone Records, and Oxford Properties, and my work has been recognized by the RGD Canada, the Catholic Press Association, and Centennial College, where I received the Peter Dickinson Award for Outstanding Design.

I run @knjmsstudio, where I create illustration-led design for people and projects that matter. Whether it’s a book, a badge, or a beer can — I love bringing creative ideas to life in ways that feel fresh and grounded.
