Commissioned by Pauline Books & Media, The Father’s House by Fr. James Dominic Brent, O.P. is a contemplative guide to discovering our true identity in communion with God the Father. The visual process began with three fully illustrated concepts—each exploring symbolic, ornamental, and architectural motifs to reflect the depth of the text. These initial directions helped clarify the visual tone, but ultimately, the project called for something quieter and more theologically focused.

The final cover became a direct reflection of Andrei Rublev’s icon of The Trinity—stripped down to a stark grayscale palette with carefully placed red accents. After settling on the core composition, several rounds of color and texture refinements followed to achieve a cover that felt reverent, still, and deeply rooted in spiritual tradition.
